Ark on the Edge

**Ark on the Edge** Registered Charity No. 1116552. Covering Teesdale and the surrounding areas, Ark on the Edge is dedicated to animal rescue. It involves rehoming domestic cats and kittens and assisting wildlife, subject to available space. A home check is carried out before any animal is rehomed, and follow-up contact is made afterwards. While the Ark cannot house dogs, it maintains a database to facilitate direct rehoming. Animals that cannot be released or rehomed are given a permanent sanctuary. Additionally, Ark on the Edge runs a Wildlife Education Centre, a nature trail, and animal care courses. The facility is accessible to disabled visitors and welcomes community groups.
