Please refrain from sharing any personally identifiable information about others in your posts. Avoid using profanity in your messages. Only upload photos of pets that belong to you or pets you have found; images of anything else are not permitted.
Users must be at least 16 years old to post on Lost & Found Pets. Please avoid creating multiple posts about the same pet, and do not include links to external websites in your posts.
Our platform connects pet owners with their missing companions. When a pet is reported lost, we utilise technology to rapidly alert local residents and community members in the vicinity, increasing the likelihood of a safe recovery. You can post a lost pet, browse found animals, and receive notifications.
Our essential services, such as posting a lost or found pet and browsing listings, are entirely free. We are committed to helping reunite families and believe that cost should not be a barrier.
We primarily serve the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man. Our community is constantly expanding, so we continually broaden our reach.
If you find a pet, make sure it is safe first. Check for any identification tags. Then, post a 'found pet' report on our website, including a photograph and your location. This will help the owner find their beloved companion.
Provide a recent, clear photograph and a detailed description. Include specific details about where and when your pet was last seen. Offering a reward can also serve as a strong incentive for people to assist in searching for your pet.

To effectively utilise Lost & Found Pets for posting advertisements about lost or found pets, follow these steps:
1. Log In: Begin by signing into your Lost & Found Pets account. Ensure your credentials are accurate.
2. Access My Posts: Click on "My Posts." This section is vital for managing your advertisements.
3. Create a New Flyer: In the "My Posts" section, find the ACTIONS area and select "Create New Flyer."
4. Issue an Alert: After creating your flyer, select "Issue Alert." This step guarantees your advertisement receives maximum visibility.
5. Download the Flyer: Go back to the ACTIONS section and click on "Download Ads Flyer."
6. Print and share the flyer in your neighbourhood.
By following these steps, you can improve your chances of reuniting with your pet.
To delete your account permanently, please contact us directly via email using the "Contact Us" option for any questions. In your email, clearly state your request for account deletion. Once we receive your request, our backend team will process it and send you a confirmation email.
When visitors view your pet's post, they will see a contact button in the top right corner. Clicking this button allows them to access a form to facilitate further communication.
If you have found a pet or are searching for your own, create a flyer by submitting a report with all the essential details about the lost or found pet. You can download this flyer as a PDF or PNG to print it for your situation. By sharing the flyers with your neighbours and friends, you can increase the chances of reuniting with your lost pet or connecting with the owner of the found pet.

You can easily contact the pet's owner. Simply visit the pet's details page and click the “Contact Owner” button located in the top right corner of your screen. Obtain the owner's phone number or email address, then get in touch to discuss the situation.
If you're looking for the best places to distribute lost pet flyers, consider local notice boards found in grocery stores, coffee shops, veterinary clinics, and pet supply shops. It's wise to ask the owner, manager, or staff member if you can post your flyer on their community board. Additionally, you can hand out flyers door-to-door in your neighbourhood. However, please remember that placing flyers in mailboxes or on utility poles is not permitted.
Lost & Found Pets is a useful resource for people searching for lost cats, dogs, and other pets. Sharing details about your lost or found pet helps your post connect with the local community, boosting the chances of reuniting dedicated owners with their beloved companions. We typically cover a radius of 10 to 15 kilometres from the location where the pet was lost. In many cases, within that range, most of our users can quickly reunite with their lost or found pets.
We use social media to notify local residents when a pet goes missing. Additionally, we offer a Featured Post option, which allows lost pets to be highlighted on our homepage and at the top of our Browse Pets search page.
